Why did I choose Biomaterials?
I have chosen the Biomaterials specialization due to my curiosity to learn how materials can be engineered to interact with biological systems. Biomaterials are at the forefront of medical advancements that contribute to innovations in prosthetics, tissue engineering, and drug delivery. What fascinates me the most about this field is the challenge of designing biomaterials that don’t just coexist with the human body but become a part of it!
Why did I decide to study in Poland?
Being a science and technology enthusiast, I have always been drawn to Poland’s strong academic reputation and contributions to science and technology as the country is home to renowned scientists like Marie Curie and Nicolaus Copernicus. Additionally, Poland is home to the prestigious ‘Polish Academy of Sciences’, one of the oldest and most esteemed scientific institutions that further solidifies its reputation as a centre of excellence in research and innovation. Among Poland's top technical universities, Warsaw University of Technology stands out with its high ranking., particularly in Materials Science as per QS ranking by subject. Also, earning the prestigious 'Banach Scholarship' from NAWA has given me the invaluable opportunity to afford my studies at WUT, enabling me to fully immerse myself in research and studies. Furthermore, WUT offers advanced facilities, innovative research platform and a strong industry connection in the biomaterials specialization that made it an ideal destination for my field of study.
