Warsaw University of Technology in Solidarity with Ukraine (UPDATED)
Warsaw University of Technology is actively involved in helping WUT students and employees from Ukraine and their families. Our current activities include:
► EDIT: We collected over 77.000 PLN of financial aid for Ukraine.
► providing the necessary information to people who come to the consultation point at the Centre for International Cooperation of the Warsaw University of Technology;
► positive consideration of applications from Ukrainian students for a reduction/waiver of fees for studies and accommodation in student halls of residence;
► launching a procedure of paying special aid to WUT students from Ukraine;
► allocating places in PW student dormitories and the University Recreation Centre for the families of PW students and staff. We have already managed to accommodate 135 people;
► a campaign to collect money and gifts in kind for victims of the war in Ukraine; the collection is not only conducted centrally - the departments and other units of WUT are also organising their own collections;
► the organisation of maths classes for children from Ukraine at the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Sciences of WUT;
► contacting partner universities from Ukraine and developing solutions enabling the employment of Ukrainian academics at WUT.
