Important information for applicants for Bachelor’s degree studies

Dear candidates,
please note that the Polish Embassies require the Decision of the Education Office on Recognition of your High School Certificate to issue a student visa for Bachelor's degree studies.

Please click to visit the website of the Education Office in Warsaw for more information.

*Documents from EU, OECD or EFTA member countries (Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States), as well as IB or EB diplomas and certificates issued in countries with which Poland has signed a bilateral agreement concerning the recognition of education (China, Libya, Ukraine) are exempted from the recognition requirement.

The Decision on Recognition of your High School Certificate may be obtained only in the territory of Poland. You can authorise someone in Poland (e.g. a friend, a family member, a lawyer or a private company) to represent you in the recognition process.

As the possession of the Decision on Recognition is a prerequisite for a visa, WUT will require it before issuing your final acceptance letter for Bachelor’s degree studies.

*This requirement does not concern applicants for Master’s degree studies.
